Grand Opening of the Boston Public Market Specializing in Local Food
Boston is proud to welcome a brand new culinary destination in the heart of Downtown that showcases the rich bounty of New England food. The Boston Public Market opened in July bringing the first year-round market to the city in decades. Not only is it a great place for locals to go grocery shopping, but it is also a fun destination for visitors to enjoy a taste of Boston up close. You can browse the aisles of colorful produce or enjoy a meal with friends and family.
Located in the heart of the emerging Market District, this new foodie attraction is located just off of the Rose Kennedy Greenway and only a short walk from our hotel. It's the perfect place to stop by after a visit to the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, New England Aquarium or a stroll along the waterfront. Come in the morning for a coffee and a pastry, stop by for a delicious lunch like a sandwich or salad or just pick up an afternoon snack.
With more than 35 vendors selling everything from fresh produce and seafood to cheese, baked goods, ice cream, honey, nuts and much more, it's easy to find something for everyone. All of the food is sourced from within New England making it the only public market in the country with such a regional focus. There's also a demonstration kitchen with frequent cooking and educational events highlighting local vendors and area producers. The market is open Wednesday through Sundays from 8 am to 8 pm.
