House Of Blues In Boston

If you're into great music, there's no greater spot in Boston to enjoy it than the House of Blues. The original venue opened in 1992 in nearby Cambridge, Massachusetts. The goal of its founder, Isaac Tigrett, was to introduce audiences to the music he grew up listening to in the South and became enamored of, such as gospel, jazz, blues, and R & B. The Southern theme is also carried out in several other ways. The club's curtains feature a quilt pattern that pays homage to the African-American slaves who traveled to freedom via the Underground Railroad. What's more, there's a metal box under the stage that's filled to the brim with Delta Mississippi mud to remind all of the performers where their music came from.

As for the performers you'll see at the House of Blues in Boston, they are all completely different in style yet all equally powerful. Some of the folks who have graced this seminal stage include The Mighty Mighty Boss Tones, Tedeschi  Trucks Band, Attila, 50 Cent With G-Unit, Chadwick Stokes,  French Montana,  Interpol, B.O.B. with Kevin Gates, and Dillon Francis. Along with the seriously soulful music, you can indulge in some serious Southern meals at the House of Blues restaurant. Dig into everything from seafood jambalaya to gourmet flatbreads. And while you are there, make sure to check out the amazing collection of folk and outsider art, which is lovingly referred to as the visual blues.
