It's also the largest Asian-American cultural event in New England, attracting more than 20,000 spectators and racers from all over the planet each year. Dozens of teams compete over a 500-meter course in colorful, 39-ft. dragon boats. Along with the racing excitement, you'll enjoy a festive celebration of various Asian cultures. The Boston Dragon Boat Festival takes place on the Charles River on Saturday, June 11 (races only) and on Sunday, June 12 (races and festival).
