The parade route starts in historic Back Bay at Boylston and Tremont Streets. It travels through the city around Boston Common and past City Hall Plaza, two excellent viewing points for spectators. Cheer on military units, high school ROTC members, veteran organizations, honorary militias, and military marching bands. Veterans for Peace march right behind the official parade offering two worthwhile events along the route. Stop by Faneuil Hall near the statue of revolutionary patriot, Samuel Adams, to hear speeches on everything from poetry and battle stories to inspiring readings and live music. With Boston's important role during the American Revolution, there are also several fascinating military sites to explore during your visit. From the historic battleship USS Constitution to the Bunker Hill Monument, the city is filled with memories of why our fight for freedom was so important.
