Boston's Epic Autumn Boat Race: Head of the Charles Regatta

2018 Head of the Charles Regatta Schedule: Dates & Time
The competition kicks off on Saturday, October 20 at 7:45 a.m., with the last race starting at 4:32 p.m. On Sunday, October 21 the racing begins at 7:45 a.m., with the final race starting at 3:47 p.m. Championship rounds begin on Sunday at 1:27 p.m.
Where to Watch the Head of the Charles Regatta
The race's three-mile course runs from DeWolfe Boathouse at Boston University to just past the Eliot Bridge in Brighton. Numerous bridges cross the Charles River along the way and are great for watching the race. There are also good viewing points at Reunion Village (ticket required) and at various boathouses along the river, many of which are open to the public during the race.
