Boston Museum of Science: Scientific Discovery & Exploration

Located in Science Park, this discovery and fun zone will entertain and mystify those curious about electricity, wildlife, space travel, and astronomy. Fun for the whole family, The Boston Museum of Science features a large collection of temporary and more than 700 interactive permanent exhibits that include natural animal habitats in A Birds World, Mathmatica, Energizing, the Charles Hayden Planetarium, and Butterfly Garden, There is a Children's Discovery Center for children under five years of age where they can explore puzzles, tunnels and lights. Other popular features include the Science Live Stage, an IMAX theater, Cahner's Computer Place and the Colossal Fossil Exhibit. Expect to be dazzled as you discover and learn about all things science at this Boston landmark.

  • Is There A Theater At The Museum Of Science?

    The Mugar Omni theater features an IMAX Dome screen that is five stories tall for an unforgettable and larger than life viewing experience. There is also a 4-D Theater which combines the HD capabilities of a 3-D film with in-theater special effects such as wind and snow for a complete multi-sensory experience.
  • Is There Parking Available At The Museum Of Science?

    The museum does have its own on-site garage for its visitors. Fees are hourly rates ranging from $10 to $22, and it is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Other parking options are available at the CambridgeSide Galleria.
